What ARE FINE LINES & WRINKLES?

Skin-ageing is inevitable, and it happens to every single one of us as we get older (and, hopefully, wiser). In the mirror, we see skin-ageing appear as fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation (brown marks), sagging and pores that appear more visible, too.

The ageing of the skin is a natural process, which is caused by intrinsic factors (internal) and extrinsic factors (external). Intrinsic ageing is the inevitable physiological process that makes the skin thinner and drier as you age, with more wrinkles and a gradual thinning of the dermis (the deeper layer of the skin that contains your collagen and elastin). Extrinsic ageing is caused by sun exposure, air pollution, smoking and poor nutrition, all of which contribute to the development of coarse wrinkles, loss of elasticity, laxity and a rough-textured appearance.

Where do I start with the products?
Caring for your skin is a long term thing, not just a fling. In your first personalised solution, you’ll start off with lower concentrations of active ingredients to give your skin time to adjust to their properties, and to reduce the chance of irritation. Then, as the months progress, your concentrations and ingredients combinations will progress too, working hard to treat, defeat and prevent your signs of skin-ageing. Throughout your treatment journey, if you ever have questions, we’ve got answers.
How long does it take to see results?
Every person is different, and whilst most will see results within 2-3 months (on average), some might see visible changes in the mirror faster than others. After 6 months, we’ll invite you to a Progress Checkup. And if you’re happy with your results, your Prescriber will create a personalised solution that’ll work to maintain your clear and healthy skin – and to prevent future signs of skin-ageing, too.
